Played well, from the end 35 mins I saw, but agree with these points EXACTLY (on the pitch-side of things alone).

“Just got to make sure that an 11th place finish doesn't paper over the gaping cracks.”

and

“Never has a mid table finish felt such a let down”

IRONS.

Fernandes really stepped up today, always looked for the ball and won a lot of second balls. His speed of thought and what to do with the ball gives hope for our midfield for next year and he is only young and with room to improve. Byram also looked good today, he will be a good player next season.

Lot of work to do and money needs spending in the summer.
Personally i don't think Billic is the man to take us forward he's a poor manager in my view.
If he stays i hope he proves me wrong

Thank fuck that's over, uncharacteristically gritty away win to end with.
I really believe we need fresh coaching input and Bilic should be told to shuffle his pack.
Don't want to hear about transfer targets just who we have signed.
Never has a mid table finish felt such a let down, strange times all right

Back in January, some computer program predicted we'd get 45 points.

Link to full predicted league table, made then:-

Whatever else going forward to next season, we can't underestimate how important Lanzini is atm - huge player for us these days.

The Noble stat is merely ammended to only winning one game without him in the last few years.

Good way to end a shitty season, as not many have come away from Burnley with even a point.

Feghouli played his best game to date, that after a few games where he has shown there is a decent player in there. Started and ended the season with very good goals. Probably my MOTM.

24 days until the fixture lis.

COME ON YOU IRONS!

BILIC better get his coaching manual out and work on drills for how to see a game out from a winning position!

22 points lost if we'd have just held on to half them we'd be comfortable 8th and that's with the shit that we brought in this season!

Got to get some quality now and start blooding our up and coming stars. Cullen must feature mustn't he after showing so well on loan and Martinez going to a play off final, great stuff

Good things about this season

1) We finish above the plastic divers Leicester City

2 Arsenal don't get in the CL

3) Sunderland go down at last

er that's it !!

11th? That's our new Marque summer signing covered, then.

Hopefully the last we see of Snodgrass. Collins cost us the goal, I hope Oxford or Burke replace him, if not next season then when?

We need a better keeper than Adrian, and Fernandes needs to be on the pitch more. He is better than Kouyate for ball retention, and just as good everywhere else.

Two new strikers and drop the obsession with wide players, and 5 at the back. We regularly get less than 50% possession, still.

Make no mistake Bilic and half the boys still need shipping out. This win was against an awful Burnley side who amassed 7 points on the road all season

.....We were playing Burnley away.

At Home they amassed more home wins than Manchester United

Great to finish a bad season with a win. Burnley has been one of the best home teams this season, so even better.
Good to see Declan playing. Fletcher should have played more instead of Snodgrass

Good summer all of you nutters

So it was a Burnley side that had 33 pts at home ?

Take the away win any day of the week but the work starts tomorrow with the meeting between Bilic & the Daves.
Whether they have the stomach & the nous to address what needs to change is another matter.

Can't have the abysmal buying that went on last summer again or a season where your two main strikers start a total of 17 games between them .

Awful season and yet somehow we finish 11th and could conceivably have finished 8th.
Crazy world.
